Illinois Film Office Video About State’s Incentive

Below is the promotional video produced by the Illinois Film Office.  Several states have done these now and I have yet to see a bad one.  The short made by the California Film Commision about the devastating impacts of runaway production on the state is sobering and heartfelt, not to mention its also somewhat educational about what runaway production is.  You can watch the California film HERE

That said, I think this Illinois film is my second favorite.  It’s filled with plenty of blue-collar workers who talk about their jobs and the pride they take in their craft.  The overall message in the film is that Illinois’ film incentives are helping the working man and woman in Illinois, not rich Hollywood types who the film commision wants to distance themselves from.  That’s pretty smart.
